I graduated from Tartan High School with a GPA of 3.6 in Spring 2016 and was involved in National Honor Society where I had to put in 40 volunteering hours serving in the community while maintaining a certain GPA. I was involved in Boy Scouts and I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout which is the highest rank in Boy Scouts. After High School I continued my education at Hamline University from Fall 2016 to Spring 2021. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Digital Media Arts and I played for Hamline's baseball team as a pitcher. I really learned a lot by being involved on the Baseball team because I had to maintain a GPA and to be dedicated to work hard. I had to be at every 6 am workouts and attend every team meeting/practice. I even worked part-time during weekends while juggling responsibilities with academics and baseball.

After graduating from Hamline University and not having the responsibilities of being on the baseball team anymore, I had a couple months to really think for myself. I ultimately decided that sitting behind a computer desk all day wasn't for me. I wanted to move around and use my hands. I remembered I had a CAD class I really enjoyed back in High School so I went with that gut feeling. I went to Century College from Fall 2021 to Spring 2022 for the ECAD (Engineering Computer Aided Drafting) program. I learned quite a bit about using computer drafting programs such as AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS. One class I really enjoyed utilized the Fab Lab where it has laser cutters, 3D printers and a CNC router shopbot. If I kept going in their program, I would've been still stuck behind a computer making drawings for 2 more semesters. I really wanted to make drawings or read a drawing and take it to a machine to bring it to life.

Again, I contemplated about my future after Spring 2022. I was deciding if I wanted to finish the ECAD program at Century College or go somewhere else where I can actually do what I want to do that I was passionate about. I decided to go to Saint Paul College for CNC Toolmaking which is 3 semesters, only 1 semester more than what I had left for Century College. I worked very very hard through Summer 2022 to make money to pay for Saint Paul College before the next school year. I worked 60 hour work weeks. This school was a little more expensive than Century so I applied for their scholarships. I was taking a leap of faith making this decision and it worked out. They awarded me scholarships and the Fall 2022 Semester is already paid for me. I was very humbled and right now I am really loving using the machines they have in the shop.
